Results of Action: Beautification and greening in Beirut.
Green public corridors, without construction of permanent structures and conflict with local authorities.
Emergency responsiveness initiative in Tyre Caza community preparedness
Objective of Action:
– Promotion of sorting at source and recycling of solid waste components.
Results of Action:
– ACE had set up spots and supplied containers for separate sorting of waste.
ACE conductedawareness raising on waste separation, recycling and composting.
contacts and communicationmaterial (flyers), coordinated with the municipality for waste collection and their destination forsale to recyclers at the Zahle solid waste facility.
“SWIM -Saving Water, Growing Crops: remote-controlled irrigation system to address water scarcity and promote preservation of available freshwater resources”
Objectives of Project:
– Reconstruct and rehabilitate three hill lakes.
– Irrigate all Mrusti lands by drip irrigation and through conveyance systems that are automatically controlled by humidity sensors.
Results of Project:
– Design of irrigation schemes to cover whole village, and to enable its operation on in ground humidity sensors Installation of two new main primary irrigation networks
– Installation of irrigation secondary line and tertiary drip irrigation lines Restoration of three hill lakes.
